Overview
The Westbrook Recreation & Conservation Commission protects and promotes green spaces large and small. Its mission is to connect people to the outdoors, in order to:
- Enhance the cultural and civic well-being of residents
- Increase the public’s awareness of our city’s outstanding natural resources
- Provide recreation for Southern Maine for all ages, at every level

This is a seven-member commission (seven voting members, with three associate members), with members appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council.

Meetings
Recreation & Conservation Commission meetings are held at 6pm every third Thursday of the month. Meetings are held at the Westbrook Community Center (426 Bridge Street, Westbrook).
