Bulky Waste
The Westbrook Bulky Waste Program allows for the curbside collection of properly tagged large items for the convenience of our residents. The program is available to any resident eligible for the City's curbside trash and recycling service. Disposal tags are available for purchase at City Hall and range from $35 to $70 depending on the type of item.

Residents may purchase one tag for each category of items (i.e., 1 mattress, 1 couch, 1 box spring, etc.) during a calendar year.

- Appliances
- Construction Debris
- Electronics
- Metal
- Sleep Sofas
- Tires
Collection
After purchasing a bulky waste tag from City Hall, residents should place their items curbside for collection making sure that the orange bulky waste tag is visible. Once items are curbside, the resident should call Public Services at 207-854-0660 to alert us that the item is awaiting pick up. Collection typically occurs with 48 hours but this may vary.
Collection Refusal
The City may refuse to collect any item which has been put out for collection in a manner in which does not comply with the rules and regulations of this program. The property owner has the responsibility of disposing of the unacceptable item in a proper manner within 48 hours of written notification of a violation of this program.
Violations & Penalty
Any person or property owner violating the rules and regulations of this program, as determined by the City, shall be subject to the general provisions of Section 1-8 of the Westbrook Code of Ordinances, plus all costs incurred by the City associated with the proper disposal of the unacceptable items.
