Classes for Westbrook Adult Education are held at the Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge Street, unless otherwise noted.

Westbrook is proud to have been chosen by Husson University and looks forward to a long, prosperous relationship with them!
Husson University relocated to Westbrook in February 2014, and with that move will come great opportunities for public private partnerships that will help make greater Westbrook thrive.
The University of Southern Maine
As a flagship school in Southern Maine, USM is a public university located just 5 miles from Westbrook offering over 100 concentrations in such areas as Business Administration, Nursing, and Education. USM was founded in 1878 and has 9385 full and part-time students on two sister campuses in Portland and Gorham, Maine. The City of Westbrook enjoys many great connections with USM including internships and community based learning programs.
Bates College - Lewiston, Maine
Bates College, located 35 minutes from Westbrook, was the first coed college in New England. Bates is situated along the Androscoggin River and its setting is favorable for outdoor enthusiasts; skiing, canoeing, beaches, Lake Auburn and natural parks are all nearby. Approximately 95% of students live on campus in either a residence hall or one of Bates' 25 Victorian homes. Bates offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in over 30 disciplines.
Bowdoin College - Brunswick, Maine
Bowdoin College, located less than an hour from the heart of Westbrook, is a private, coed University with a storied 225 year history. In a recent survey conducted by Students Review Inc, over 25,000 students from 15 New England Colleges were asked to rate the overall quality of experience at their respective universities. Bowdoin attained the second best score, beating many prominent schools throughout New England.
Colby College - Waterville, Maine
Located less than ninety minutes from the greater Westbrook area is Colby College, a private institution with an enrollment of 1863 full-time students, and has more than 50 majors across more than 20 academic departments.
Colby offers a unique 4-1-4 based academic calendar, with a 4 week session between Fall and Spring semesters where students are encouraged to study abroad. Nearly 70% of Colby students study globally, including many of whom visit one of Colby's three satellite locations in Spain, France, and Russia.
Saint Josephs College - Standish, Maine
Located on the shores of Sebago Lake, and ten miles northwest of Westbrook, Maine, Saint Joseph's is Maine's only Catholic faith based college. SJC has over 30 majors and concentrations and has tuition that's more affordable than most private, four-year colleges in Maine.
In the past several years, Saint Joseph's has expanded to an online learning platform, and has over 30 online degree programs.
The City of Westbrook works closely with the college and has hired many of their criminal justice students and full time law enforcement professionals in the City.
Southern Maine Community College
Southern Maine Community College empowers students to respond to a changing world and enhances economic and cultural development in Southern Maine by providing a variety of educational opportunities and partnerships. It does so from their magnificent seaside campus only 15 minutes from Westbrook.
The University of New England - Biddeford, Maine
With dual campuses in Biddeford and Portland, 5 miles from Westbrook, UNE offers Maine's only college of medicine. UNE also offers small class sizes and a broad array of majors ranging from Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) and Dental Hygiene, to Marine Science and Business. UNE's Portland Campus offers many advanced degree opportunities.
